Key design features

The Infinity Downtown was designed to ride ocean swells and it does that better than any other downwind board we’ve ridden.

Maintaining speed and easy manoeuvrability the bow has volume and a refined shape to help keep it planing and punching through swells even if it ploughs in deep.

The outline is a classic wide point forward shape with a pulled in mini square tail this allows stability and early entry into bumps.

The board has a squaretail that releases like a dream and does not get pushed around in the side chop.

High rails for stability and hard edges for quick surfy release and the nose rocker to slip into the curves and rise up in between bumps for longer gliding.

Who is the Infinity Downtown aimed at?

The Infinity Downtown is really aimed at ocean paddlers who want to get the ultimate open water experience under their feet. The design characteristics mean this board has immense amounts of performance, but you need to unlock it with swell and footwork.

We’ve really enjoyed this board, especially the dugout model.   For our confused and messy waters here in the Solent, I used the 14*27 model for a bit more of a relaxed ride and it didn’t fail to impress, that’s for sure!

The infinty downtown Summary

Level of paddler: this board is aimed at intermediate to advanced paddlers who are looking to master the downwind skills of footwork and control.

Disciplines: ultimately this is a downwind stand up paddle board and it doesn’t compromise there. Every feature within the design of this board is focussed on riding bumps in the ocean or on a windy lake.

You could ride this board on the flat, nothing wrong with that, but the rocker line won’t come into play until it picks up swell so look at the Infinity Whiplash or Infinity Blackfish if flat water is more your thing.

Price /Quality ratio:  nothing to say, but amazing board that’s worth the money for someone wanting performance.

Locations:  Sea – Lakes

  • Front and back bungee cord.
  • Self breathing valve.

Key design features

The E-Ticket is a board to take you anywhere, anytime. This is your ticket to a fun paddling experience.

This board is based off of the original Blackfish design with a nice wide tail that keeps the outline in the back very parallel for stability and easy glide.

The wide point forward outline in the nose keeps the width underneath and slightly in front of the stance for predictable – easy cruising stability and comfort. The bottom contour is a hybrid-planning hull with the original Blackfish concave in the tail.

Who is the Infinity eTicket aimed at?

The Infinity eTicket is really suited to people wanting a touring and general allround sup for excercise and adventures. The width gives amazing stability but deliver great glide and speed for longer distances. This is a good looking, quality board. It’s our guarantee!

The Whiplash continues into 2020 with a few minor tweaks to go even faster, and have greater stability so more riders can access the narrower board widths for that ultimate performance and race winning ability.

Shae Foudy and Itzel Delgado have won countless races on this design masterpiece, and Hannah Leni Krah took out the Junior ICF World Sprints in China to become the first ever Junior Female ICF World Gold medalist.

With those sort of credentials you know you’re in good company when you take your first few strokes on the Infinity Whiplash or “The Whip” as she’s affectionately known.

The Jimmy Lewis Sidewinder is now showing it’s guns around the world!

The Jimmy Lewis Sidewinder has been in development for a year and riders from round the world got involved to feed back to Jimmy what we needed from an ultimate sup race board.

His answer was the Sidewinder 14 and 12’6.

Our own experience in the UK has been in conditions ranging form glass flat to rough open water. Suffice to say the board has performed way above our expectations and looks to get better the more time you spend riding it.

Downwinding, we’ve tested both the 14 and 12’6 in 23 and 25 models.   Certainly the 23 becomes more tricky in really rough choppy mess, but was really good fun and fast when conditions were more organised, whilst the 25 model was a breeze to ride.

Flatwater is seriously impressive as it really glides effortlessly along our test canal.   The key here is its stability and nose and tail release that work together to remain unaffected by outside influences.

Mixed up race conditions are again easy to manage with the board holding its line and not being upset by moving water, side chop and wake from other boards.

Maurice Guy heading upwind on the Jimmy Lewis Sidewinder
You can see how easily the Sidewinder heads upwind, punching through chop. You can see how the nose holds itself just above the water line so it’s not affected by wind or waves and the tail is just above water giving a super clean release and not getting suck back form the passing chop.

The thing you gotta love about this board is its approach to life.  “Get on and do it”

14×29: the board shaped for heavyweight paddlers 110kg+. To paddle at their best.

14×27: the board you want to ride in open ocean conditions.

14×25: the most suitable board for wavy and choppy conditions.

14×23: the most suitable board for flat water or small choppy conditions.

and…

12’6×29: the most suitable board for bigger riders or just casual racing.

12’6×27: the most suitable board to ride if you approach a competition for the very first time. It’s easy while fast, but will also deliver unparalleled stability in rough water.

12’6×25 – 229 liters: the most suitable board for racers looking to find the edge.

If you are after a flatwater raceboard for lakes and river or even summer on the ocean then the Jimmy Lewis UBoat is our other offering that will deliver huge performance with ease of use.
